I am 14 years old and ask this on behalf of my own health. I have had arthritis-like symtoms since two years ago. These include:

joint pain (mild to severe)
joint stiffness (affected by cold/sitting on hard surfaces)
low platelet count (from two years ago, unknown if still have this)
high biliruben (same as above)
joint inflammation (heat radiates from hip/knees)
not able to stand/sit for longer than 30 minutes, will cause stiffness/pain
have osteoporosis (unknown to why i have this)
gluten intolerance (class II allergy-not celiac disease)

I have visited a rheumatologist and been released- I do not have arthitis or fibromailga. Two years ago, I was tested for leukimia through a special type of xray where they injected me with radiation I belive and it was negative. I have visited a digestive doctor and found out I had a gluten allergy that was the cause of SOME of the pain, but the doctors took my blood and said it was not significant enough allergy to cause these problems. I was released, and do not have celiac disease. I visit a genetisict for the osteoporosis and he is stumped to what is causing these problems. I took a blood test and found out that I had a high IGE level- whatever that means.

I will be visiting another orthopedic, and a neurologist. After those two doctors, I will have explored
all the fields available. Is it possible I could have cancer, as two years have passed since the last test?
Take 1000mg of calcium a day
I also have involunatry falls/hip gives out

I have several food allergies, like celiac sprue, *wheat/gluten, casein, and one of the nuts in planters nut mix. And I take vitamins but they give me really bad rashes. I am pretty sure I am malnutritioned, so I was wondering if there was some kind of iv i could put in that would feed me my nutrients.

I think I have a intolerance to gluten and/or milk…I don’t think they’re allergies because they don’t seem that severe, but I was wondering can you test for gluten and/or lactose intolerances? Or can you only test for food allergies? And if you can test for a food intolerance, what kind of test is it?

I don’t have celiac disease because I was tested, however, I do have acne/seb derm and feel that this could be due to an allergy to gluten. Is it possible to not have celiac disease and still be allergic to gluten?

Is it possible also, to grow up and develop an allergy to gluten even though at a younger age, you weren’t allergic?

For months I have thought I was lactose intolerant because everytime i had cereal i would get horrible stomach cramps and sometimes diarhea. I have discovered in the last week that what is causing my stomach ache is not the milk but rather frosted mini wheats. I had a bowl of mini wheats last weekend and got horrible stomach pains and a headache. I bought cocoa crispies and had them probably 15 times this week and have had not one problem. I have also had a gnawing pain in my lower left ab for 2.5 months now and have a doc appointment for that in the morning. Anyone familiar with allergies or celiac that could offer some insight?

My 8 month old daughter has just tried barley cereal in the last three days, and we don’t know if it’s be cause she’s teething(top teeth), or if it’s from from the barley, but she’s been VERY pukey the last two days and now she was diarrhea. We are going to take her off the barley cereal and put her back on the rice cereal immediately but I’m just hoping this doesn’t mean she’s gluten intolerant…

Also, she had no problem with baby oatmeal, so I’m quite confused.
If this doesn’t clear up in two days I’m gonna take her to the doctor.
WOW! A Dr who can’t read!?!
My 8 month old, NOT myself! and there’s no immediate allergic reaction[hives, throat swelling, ect.] so why would I administer an allergy medication, to an INFANT, that some online quack tells me to, with out asking a real DR?! get a life, you’re a freaking liar. You’re not a real Dr, you couldn’t fool any one!!!

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 6 weeks back & put on medication. But the medication has had no effect at all – I still get tired and depressed easily, along with the other symptoms.. nothing has changed. And my mom thinks that in these 6 weeks my medicine (Synthroid) should definitely have helped and is worried why it didn’t work.

So is it possible I might have a gluten allergy since its symptoms are very similar? I will go to the doctor too but for now I’m just curious.
I’ve always had low iron & take iron tablets daily

She has been drinking %2 cow’s milk since she turned 1 and has not had any problems. Last week she began having diarrhea, when it began she was going 3 or 4 or maybe even more times for the first two or three days and now she has been having really running diarrhea like diapers about once a day. Nothing in her diet has changed and when I called her doctor they told me to stop giving her dairy for a couple of days to see if that helps and I did for a day and it stopped. The next day I gave her only little and no pooping at all. The next day I gave her a little and it began again.
Yes when I gave it to her yesterday for the last time it was diluted and still…. explosive diapers!

Ive never had lactose intolerance or problems with milk until the past year maybe. Every time Ive had stomach problems, it has been after eating cereal and the milk is never expired or anything. Twice this year Ive had gastronitis (sp?) and the last thing I had was cereal. I usually dont have a problem with milk when I just buy it but if it gets almost up to the expiration date then it makes me sick (diarrhea) but other people in the house drink the milk and dont have any problems. What should I do? Is this stomach sensivity or may I actually be slightly allergic to milk?

I’m 16 years old, and for a month and a half, I have all the symptoms of having a gluten allergy. Whenever I eat gluten, I feel sick to my stomach, cramping, joint pain, and more, but after a couple days off of it, I feel fine. Is it possible to just become allergic to gluten like that?
