I recently had some testing done to see if i have food allergies and i have a ton, and i need to eliminate them from my diet in order to get rid of them and that will be hard considering some of my many allergies include gluten, bakers and brewers yeast, cows milk etc. is there a website were i can put all of my allergies in there and they can give me recipes etc so i can avoid all of my allergies??

I’m just curious, I’m not planning on going to jail ha. But I have celiac disease, so I’m allergic to wheat, barley, and rye (gluten). They would obviously have to make all their food gluten free, but i’m still a little confused on how they would work that out. Would they give me the same food as everyone else but the gluten free version or would they create a whole new meal plan for me? Some things can’t be gluten free so hmmm.

We are trying to prepare a family meal, but there are a few allergies that we have to accommodate for. They are Gluten Free, Nut Allergy, and a low sodium intake. Is there any recipes out there to accommodate this. These recipes cannot include any chillie dishes and curry dishes, and also very little herbs, due to a fussy eater.

I just found out I have major food sensitivity to eggs, all dairy, vanilla, wheat and gluten. I am wondering if anyone else with food allergies knows of good websites with recipes (especially since the holidays are coming up) and maybe some favorite brands and products that I can look for at the grocery store? It seems like kids born in the last 10 or so years have such a high incidence of food allergies, seasonal allergies, food intolerances, latex, bees, everything under the sun. I never even heard of a gluten allergy until I was in college, never knew any kids with anything beyond hay fever when I was growing up. There were no bans on latex or peanut butter sandwiches or anything like that – they weren’t so into forcing an entire population to eat a selective diet because of one kid back then I guess. Now kids have wheat allergy, gluten allergy, berry allergies, and allergy-kids are a dime a dozen. And we never hear the end of all these crazy allergy warnings and bans.

Is it just that more mothers have decided to become extremely – sometimes obnoxiously – vocal about it, or is there a higher incident of allergies in our population? Or is it like ADHD and is just really overdiagnosed?
emjhaye: What on earth are you talking about? There’s always been viruses, and lots of them. And viruses don’t cause allergies.

My son has a multitude of food allergies and I am looking for some good online companies that offer packaged products that fit his needs.
The key is that the foods have to be labeled very well to prevent him getting even a trace of something he is allergic to.
His current diet is a gluten ( wheat) casein (dairy products) egg, soy, peanut, shellfish free diet.

I am looking for suggestions from people that have actually used these sites and can attest to their products.

Please don’t waste my time or yours telling me to google it.. I have done that thank you.

First it was peanuts,then sea food,then eggs,then milk,then wheat,there are so many banned foods at my kids school I am at my whits end at what to put in their lunches.If it is good for you it is most likely banned there. Maybe it is time there were schools that were exculsively for allergy afflicted kids. That would make it safer for them and more compassionate to those fortunate not to have allergies. I have family with peanut sensitivities so I am very understanding but there has to be a better way. I am not rich I can’t buy fancy nut free,gluten free what evers. Anyone have the same difficulties?

I am involved with this and intend to become more so. I have no answer I can only say it had been very hard to make a lunch aceptable to my kids and the school. They can’t have just fruit for lunch and I feel it is only a matter of time before that is excluded. We live almost 2 miles from school so going home is out too. I am thinking the school could make their lunches and I wish them luck getting my kids to eat it.
PATRICIA G F thank you for your comment, the school has sent a list of foods but that has not helped. In shipping kids with allergies to a safer place is not mean’t to make them feel different. I am at a loss and my kids feel excluded. I have a grandson with a severe peanut allergy and his mom agrees. At my grandaughters school no perfume is allowed or deoderant this is crazy. I agree the reasons behind this plague must be investigated asap. That had alway been my opinion I am on a very limited budget which is much smaller with the expense of it all. They can’t bring a birthday cake and that reason is not just allergies but because it might offend someone who does not celebrate it. I just want to give my kids a healthy lunch that won’t come back. Maybe home schooling is the only choice for non allergy sufferers? that will certainly make my kids feel different too. If my frustration is showing forgive me but this bad foods list has me in shock.
Being the written word sometimes things get misunderstood. I don’t like looking as if I am against kids with allergies that is not what I am getting at that is insulting. My grandson has this as well and he needs to be protected in a more reliable way.We have loads of compassion I have taught my kids well but this is way beyond reason and boardering on the rediculous. And each school has their own rules which makes it even more dangerous. Maybe the schools will have to supply the lunches? I am looking for input from all who have experienced this maybe we can come up with some compassionate resolutions that include everyone involved. I just want to give my kids the best I can on a very limited budget that is all.

My dog has allergies. Tried other vet recommended things with no success. Now I want to make my dog’s food myself to see if that can help. I need a healthy recipe for dogs that is gluten and grain free. One that is good for dogs with allergies, and well balanced.
