Ive been getting sick to my stomach every time I eat pasta lately. I’m assuming I have some sort of allergy. I know about celiac disease and wheat allergies but I have no problem with bread or other wheat/ gluten products….is there something different in pasta that could be making me sick (and Ive tried diff pasta companies and they all have the same effect) should I go to an allergist or general practitioner?

Those are the only allergies. I have found cookbooks that have recipes that don’t have soy and egg but they also don’t have dairy, gluten, wheat, and many other things that don’t cause problems. I just need a cookbook that does not have soy or egg in the recipes. Thank you.

I don’t have immediate allergic reactions to foods (swelling, bloating, rashes, etc.) but I just took a “food allergy test” at a clinic, and found I’m allergic to gluten, milk, yeast, soy, eggs, tuna, chicken, certain fish, green beans,….and the list goes on.

Is this normal? Are people normally allergic – or have food sensitivities – to such a wide range of foods?

I had a skin allergy test come back and say I was mildly allergic to wheat, i am pretty upset cause i dont have the funds to go out and buy these gluten free products that cost a lot of money.
i am also allergic to corn, possibly rice not sure yet, pork, tomatoes, nuts.
anyone eles mildly allergic to wheat? what are your symptoms, and do you ever eat wheat anyway?

I have had many symptoms of sorts that may indicate an allergy to something. I have been suspecting Gluten and/or dairy.

So these are some of the symptoms I have experienced over the past few years:

-fatigue (tired all the time, never seem to have enough energy)
- soreness (Mostly all over my body, no apparent reason)
- sinusitis
- headaches (usually major and effect me for long periods of time. I have headaches every day)
- depression (Sometimes I feel depressed, like I can’t do anything or go anywhere)
- dizziness
- nausea
- occassional dhiarrhea
- migraines (I have had 3 migraines since February. They include the aura and when they happen I cannot function at all… I can barely see because of all the blind spots and zig-zag lines. I must immediately go to sleep)

I have noticed that most of these symptoms appear after I eat.. I have gluten and dairy with almost every meal.

I have been suffering for a long time with these symptoms, and am really hoping to find out what is wrong with me so that it can be fixed. It is severely affecting my life and I constantly feel like crap.

So if you know if these are symptoms of a gluten or dairy allergy please let me know and give me some advice on what to do. OR if it could be something else, please let me know!
btw I am planning on going to the doctor and ask what he thinks. Most likely will be doing allergy testing. But I will not be able to get in for at least a few weeks so I am asking for advice so that I know whether I should at least avoid gluten or dairy until I know for sure. Gluten and dairy free foods are very expensive… so I dont want to go buy them if no one thinks I could have an allergy to gluten or dairy.

i been trying to pinpoint what was wrong with my little boy and i did research and found out that he has a milk allergy just like his dad after i sat down with his nan and she told me that all the boys in the Family have the same thing, she said soya milk or goats milk is good for them does anyone know where i can purchase sny of the products???
His nans 2 boys have had it and her daughters 2 boys had the same thing, i have been to a baby doctor…

About a week and a half ago, I started having really sharp pains in my lower left abdomen (almost in pelvis) So I went to Urgent Care to check it out. They did multiple urine and blood tests and told me that they didnt know what was wrong with me and sent me on my way after waiting for FIVE HOURS of waiting for medical attention and ten minutes in an actual exam room. I went home The next day I had an appointment with a family practitioner (this pain was extremely severe!) and she set me up for a pelvic ultrasound because we were worried about ovarian cyst.
The results of the ultrasound were completely normal and I didnt have a cyst. I figured maybe it would go away after awhile. In two days time, the pain had gotten a little better (or i got used to it im not sure) it now feels like a dull achy pain most of the time (still annoying and distracting) with only the sharp pains at random times.

But then I woke up and my legs were really swollen. The underside of my leg behind me knee is so swollen that i cant straighten or bend my leg completely. and my toes were purple and numb. This scared us. so it looked like another trip to Urgent Care!

After waiting another six hours in urgent care, we still didnt get any help. No one seems to really be giving me the time of day and I really need help! Its two days later and my legs are still swollen and my stomach is still the same. I have things to do. I have school and work and a new puppy! and whenever i walk my ankles and the back of my knees start to hurt.

Anyone have any ideas? I would really appreciate it! Could a gluten allergy just manifest itself now when I am 18 years old? I am of average ht and weight by the way. Not on Birth control or medications.

Every time I have a couple swallows of beer, my throat starts hurting. This only happens with beer, and it usually lasts about a day or so. I keep looking up beer allergies, but they all list headaches and vomiting as symptoms, and that never happens. I can eat pizza and bread without a problem, but when I eat ‘multigrain’ crackers, the same thing happens, except my tongue swells up too. Does this sound like a mild gluten allergy? Or something else?

Our 3 1/2 year old was just diagnosed with a strong milk protein allergy and slight allergy to soy and eggs. So, we can’t do soy milk. Dr. suggested rice milk–can anyone tell me if regular or vanilla flavored Rice Dream is better? Any suggestions for butter replacements/spreads? I’d love to find another mom going through this!!!

I recently gave up wheat recently after testing positive for a gluten allergy, and the change was phenomenal! I’m really curious to see if other people felt the same way.
