Peanut Allergy Misdiagnosed in 2 out of 3 Cases
Researchers in Sweden investigated a new generation of sophisticated allergy tests not yet available in the United States. This new test shows promise in distinguishing peanut allergy from birch pollen allergy. Current allergy testing, "either in the skin or the blood, cannot tell the difference and pinpoints the patient as allergic to both peanut and birch pollen."
