Have you ever tried to find candy that is corn-free? Almost every candy out there has corn syrup in it.

After you find something that is corn-free…..check out more: is it made in a nut-free facility that is also soy-free, cinnamon-free, barley-free, rice-free, and citrus-free????

I have found candy out there that is made with rice-syrup and as creative as that is, Luke is intolerant of rice. I have not yet tried the candy made with tapioca syrup. Luke has yet to have tapioca but that will be next on our list to try.

Currently, we discovered Maple Sugar Candy as something safe for Luke to eat! It is like biting into a lump of pure sugar but it is candy and that’s all that matters.

We aren’t big into giving our kids lots of candy, but they did discover Maple Sugar Candy in their Easter baskets this year & it was great to find something for Luke!

If women during pregnancy eat vegetables and fish, they may reduce the risk for their children to develop asthma and food allergies.

Avoid red meat and eat plenty of vegetables and fish, if you will try to avoid that your child develops asthma or allergy.

This is the recommendation for pregnant women in a new study by researchers at the University of Crete.

In the study, the researchers compared the diet for 468 mothers and their children from pregnancy to the children were six and a half years old.

The conclusion is that children of mothers who have eaten mainly vegetables, fruit, nuts and fish in fewer cases developed allergies or asthma.

This is particularly the case if the mothers during pregnancy ate fish more than three times a week or vegetables more than eight times a week.

The study also concluded, that if the pregnant mother ate red meat more than 3-4 times a week, the risk of developing asthma or allergy increased .

The researchers also found up to that diet plays no significant role in the development of asthma or allergy, after the children have turned six years old.
